This painting is a result of noticing an interesting patch of weeds and pods on the roadside as I go past this spot weekly.
It just fascinated me because the light colored weeds and pods were against a dark background of trees and shrubs. It made a dramatic
statement to me - so of coarse I had to slow down, get out of my car and snap a picture of the spot. I never dreamed that I would
attempt a painting of this very busy and twiggy scene!
It was late afternoon and the sun was coming through the myriad branches and trees and casting light on the upper parts of the
trunks of the larger trees and twigs.
It was a challenge but I think I captured the business of the scene!
I hope you enjoy it, too!
